I live in beautiful Perth, Western Australia with my husband, Darrin, our rottweiller and our cat.
I love creating my bears, and am so thankful that I have the time and the patience to do so. My
bears have been described as "different", "unusual", "real characters" and I have been told that
they all seem to have their own little souls.
I have been creating Russell Bears since 2004, but have had a passion for bears (and other animals)
since I was a child, as far back as I can remember I have collected stuffed animals. Also from a
young age, I was obsessed with drawing and sculpting animals which has laid dormant within me for
many years after I took up dressmaking.
I started collecting bears, some years ago now, which led me to artist bears, in turn, leading me
to making bears myself. With a background in dressmaking and art, I took to it straight away and
started designing my own range of collectable bears.
I hope to be able to create my bears for many years to come, as long as my hands hold out, as it
gives me joy and a sense of accomplishment.
